NEW FOR 2019 - USEF SAFE SPORT TRAINING

As of Jan 1, 2019 every USEF adult member (18 years of age or older) with a Competing Membership must complete USEF's Safe Sport Training.
A 30 day grace period to complete the SafeSport training will be provided to all members who renew or join on or after December 1, 2018. Members joining prior to December 1, 2018 will have until January 1, 2019 to complete the training. Those who do not complete the training within the grace period will be ineligble to participate in USEF activities, including competitions.
Accessing the Required Safe Sport Core Training
Please have your USEF member number available for this process.
1. Go to www.usef.org.
2. Click the red “log-in” button at the upper right-hand corner.
3. Click on “My USEF” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
4. Click the Safe Sport Training icon in your Member Dashboard.
5. Click red “Proceed to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Website to Register” button.
6. This will take you to the Safe Sport Website to complete the training.
7. Click REGISTER to create a new account.
8. Fill out the required fields and click next
9. On the second “Register” page:
a. You do not need to upload a photo.
b. Select your “Primary Position” with USEF. If you are an owner, please select “athlete.”
c. You MUST add your membership to US Equestrian in order to show up in our system as Safe Sport Trained. If you participate in another National Governing
Body (NGB) organization, you can add that membership at this time. This will ensure that all USOC NGBs you participate in are notified that you have
completed the training.
d. After adding your membership information, you must certify that you are that individual and click “Save.”
10. You MUST check the email you registered your account with to verify your account. The email comes from “no-reply@safesport.org.” Click the link in the email and it will take you back to the U.S. Center for SafeSport website.
11. Enter your email and password and login to complete the training modules. All three training modules: Sexual Misconduct Awareness Education, Mandatory Reporting, and Emotional and Physical Misconduct must be completed in order to satisfy the requirement. The Safe Sport Refresher course does not have to be completed until 1 year from the day you complete the three modules in the required Safe Sport Training.
12. After all three modules are complete, print your “SafeSport Trained” certificate to keep for verification purposes.

USEF and USDF Publish 2019 Dressage Tests
The 2019 USEF/USDF Dressage Tests continue to serve as a measure of the horse and rider’s schooling and training, while each level builds upon the preceding level’s principles. USDF’s “On the Levels” will continue to provide examples of the new Introductory through Fourth Level dressage tests. “On the Levels” features engaging videos to help athletes understand the requirements for tests within each level, with commentary from top U.S. trainers and judges and segments geared toward improving difficult movements at each level. WDAA Western Dressage Tests for all breeds
Tests remain in effect for at least 4 years from the “Title Year” printed on each Test. These tests can be used for training or showing purposes. Western Dressage Rules and Tests are based in Dressage fundamentals and showcase applications for the Working Western Horse.
